Women in Sagaing Division and Chin State face deep-rooted inequality, limited leadership opportunities, and systematic exclusion from decision-making. Gender-based violence goes unaddressed because the women who want to help survivors lack power, information, and resources. The military coup made everything worse. A women's organization lost staff members—killed, imprisoned—creating gaps in their capacity to support communities precisely when those communities needed them most.
