"They were farmers before the war. They can be farmers again—if someone helps them start over."

In Tanintharyi, long-term conflict has destroyed homes, eliminated jobs, and cut off government services. Families who once fed themselves now face food shortages. People who knew how to farm, fish, and raise livestock have lost access to the land and tools that made those livelihoods possible.

These aren't people who need to be taught how to work. They're farmers who lost their farms. Fishers who lost their boats. Families who built productive lives before the war and can do it again—if they have something to start with.

This project provides that starting point. Livestock to raise. Ponds to stock with fish. Seeds to plant. Tools to work the land. Training to strengthen techniques. And a path to self-sufficiency where families produce their own food and build toward surplus they can sell.
